Nine Admit Armed Robberies

  • Posted

Last week it was reported that nine people admitted their parts in a number of armed robberies which took place last year, throughout South Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire.

The first incident involved an armed robbery of a convenience store in Doncaster during July 2013; before further armed robberies were carried out on a number of businesses throughout Doncaster and Workshop during a 17 day period.

During a Crown Court hearing in Sheffield last week, all nine pleaded guilty to their parts in the armed robberies, with five being remanded in custody whilst the other four were bailed pending their sentence hearing next month.

Whilst the nine individuals have admitted their parts in armed robberies during a Crown Court hearing; it has been revealed that a former Manchester United Football Club player, who played with the likes of David Beckham and Paul Scholes, is facing jail after admitting a theft involving an Audi A4.
