"Was very helpful. Very good – good ethics. Very easy to make an appointment."
I am an Assistant Solicitor within the Social Welfare Department. I joined Minton Morrill Solicitors in September 2015. I act for clients under legal aid funding and on a private basis.
I have over 7 years’ experience in housing law. I have acted in a wide range of housing cases and successfully defended tenants in possession proceedings, taken action against landlords for poor housing conditions and challenged councils when they failed to fulfill their duties to homeless clients.
I completed my training in local government and previously worked in the Litigation department of a local housing association. I also spent over 2 years working as a Housing Advisor for Shelter.
I assist individuals with a wide variety of housing problems. I help tenants to bring claims against their landlord due to repair issues/harassment/unlawful eviction and defend possession and anti social behaviour injunction proceedings. I offer advice, representation and advocacy to defendants facing eviction through the Leeds County Court duty possession scheme.
I understand that I am meeting clients at what is often a very stressful and difficult time. I am dedicated to providing a high quality service to all my clients to achieve the best possible result.
