Philip Goldberg saves a client from a 104mph driving ban at Northallerton Magistrates Court

  • Posted

There are very few people who cannot fail to be inconvenienced by a driving ban, however long. For most of us inconvenience is an understatement, it can have a devastating impact on work and our personal lives, in some cases to such an extent that we could lose our jobs or cause massive family issues.

This was the case today for one client, caught at 104 miles per hour on the A1[M]. No excuse you may say however a ban would have had just that effect on his life, complete devastation to say the least.

The magistrates at Northallerton Magistrates Court could have disqualified him for up to 56 days, however with our support the magistrate agreed not to impose the ban and saved his licence. There are cases where poor decision-making on the part of the driver leads to these situations and no one is infallible. It does sometimes take the right support to make sure a poor judgment call doesn’t lead to complete devastation of your life.
