Sara began her career working with Criminal clients in 2002 when she joined the National Probation Service in Lancashire.  Later that year, Sara was invited to join Farleys Solicitors LLP as a Trainee Solicitor and qualified in September 2004.

Sara joined the Practice (then Lester Morrill) in November 2015. She has vast experience in dealing with the full range of Criminal legal matters, including murders, drug matters and other serious/ complex cases.  Sara also enjoys dealing with complicated areas of law and also civil applications such as CBOs, Closure Orders, Dangerous Dog offences and Motoring Offences.

Sara’s client base is diverse, including those who are members of professional bodies.

Sara continually demonstrates her strength and ability as a criminal law advocate.  She has now successfully appealed at the Crown Court a number of convictions and sentences imposed by the Magistrates’ Court.  Building on her success in Crown Court Appeal cases, Sara gained her Higher Rights of Audience in April 2017 and joins the formidable advocacy team at the Practice, ensuring the department continues to offer a holistic in-house service from the police station through to the conclusion of the case whether in the Magistrates or Crown Court.

Inquest law

In 2018 Sara also began to work alongside the Practice’s nationally renowned Inquest team. From her 16 years experience of working within the criminal justice sector Sara has worked tirelessly in helping those with  mental health issues.  She has developed a good understanding of how the police and the prison service work which is invaluable when  representing bereaved families at Inquests

As a skilled advocate Sara is also able to represent her clients in the Coroners Court for both the Pre Inquest Review Hearings and the final Hearing.
