I am a apprentice paralegal within the Housing & Social Welfare Team. I help fee earners within the department with a range of different files including unlawful evictions, possession proceedings, homelessness, community care and disrepair. I am studying at BPP University alongside my work here. My apprenticeship helps me to gain hands on experience working with clients whilst progressing in my course and training at BPP.
Since starting at Minton Morrill I have taken an interest in the Community Care work as it help’s some of our most vulnerable clients get the support they need; many of which have a range of disabilities and mental health conditions. I have recently started training specifically in community care work and have found this very interesting and rewarding. When I have completed my training in this area I am looking forward to dealing with my own caseload.
I also assist the Civil Liberties department and have attended inquests in Coroners courts representing the family at Court alongside a specialist advocate.
